Moms and Docs Climate Roundtable

From declining air quality to the increased risks of more frequent and severe wildfires and floods, carbon pollution is a growing health crisis in Colorado, especially for young children. Environment Colorado will be hosting a round table discussion focused on global warming’s negative impact on our public health and what we can do to stop it.

Jordan Mae Morton
Wednesday June 10th

Brooklyn-based songstress of the double bass, presents an evening of poetry within resonance at the feet of these blue brown mountains. Original music for voice and bowed bass as an homage to Parisian homesick-wanderlust, as a function of MOVEMENT SPACE and TIME, as a homing device. Some lyrics conceived in my Subaru while taking a straight for 9 hours in Nebraska.  Rhianna may be in attendance. Other special guests TBD. Donation based for the trip back east.

A letter from Marilyn:

Hi, Happy June everybody.
Thank you everyone who has joined our Clean Energy Campaign. Thank you so much.

WE NEED A NEW ENERGY REALITY

In the past few decades, an unprecedented global movement of activists has emerged, aiming to steer humanity clear of climate catastrophe, While there have been some small victories we haven’t yet achieved the most essential goal: getting the Governments of the World (especially ours) to seriously address the full magnitude of our CLIMATE CRISES.

We need to get serious about forcing governments to take action NOW.

Monday June 16th our local 350.org (http://350.org/) group will gather at the State Capitol at 4 pm, then converge at the Mercury Cafe at 6 pm for networking and socializing – Join Us.

WE’RE READY for a local & national energy policy that works for all earthlings instead of big energy corporations.

Learn More at:

http://energy-reality.org/

Dancing is important to prevent activist burnout and to help ground us in community & humanity.

We dance Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays – Come Dance!

Here’s a few other interesting June events too.

Thanks you partaking in local organic food,

Marilyn
